Hybrid Protocols for Relay-Assisted Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access in Power Line Communications

چکیده

We study the outage probability performance of hybrid protocols in relay-assisted, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA)-based power line communication. In particular, we consider two networks with source, relay and destination nodes, namely, cooperative relaying NOMA (CR NOMA) single-stage (SS NOMA). derive closed-form expressions for probabilities three techniques, decode-and amplify-and-forward (HDAF), incremental HDAF (IHADF) IHDAF maximal ratio combining (MRC) protocols. The protocol overcomes limitations decode-and-forward (DF) (AF) protocols, by advantages both. protocol, advantage successful decoding at receiver is exploited using direct link between source added benefit due to HDAF. Through an extensive simulation study, (a) validate our analysis, (b) show that IHDAF-MRC outperforms IHDAF, HDAF, DF AF, (c) CR SS when scheme employed.

A Fair Power Allocation for Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access in the Power Domain

This paper presents an investigation on the performance of the Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) in the power domain scheme. A Power Allocation (PA) method is proposed from NOMA throughput expression analysis. This method aims to provide fair opportunities for users to improve their performance. Thus, NOMA users can achieve rates higher than, or equal to, the rates obtained with the convent...

Multiple Antenna Assisted Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access

Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is potentially capable of circumventing the limitations of the classic orthogonal multiple access schemes, hence it has recently received significant research attention both in industry and academia. This article is focused on exploiting multiple antenna techniques in NOMA networks, with an emphasis on investigating the rate region of multiple-input multipl...

Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access for Visible Light Communications

The main limitation of visible light communication (VLC) is the narrow modulation bandwidth, which reduces the achievable data rates. In this paper, we apply the nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) scheme to enhance the achievable throughput in high-rate VLC downlink networks. We first propose a novel gain ratio power allocation (GRPA) strategy that takes into account the users’ channel condit...

Joint Power Control and Beamforming for Uplink Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access in 5G Millimeter-Wave Communications

In this paper, we investigate the combination of two key enabling technologies for the fifth generation (5G) wireless mobile communication, namely millimeter-wave (mmWave) communications and non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA). In particular, we consider a typical 2-user uplink mmWaveNOMA system, where the base station (BS) equips an analog beamforming structure with a single RF chain and ser...

Joint Power Allocation and Beamforming for Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) in 5G Millimeter-Wave Communications

In this paper we explore non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) in millimeter-wave (mmWave) communications (mmWave-NOMA). In particular, we consider a typical problem, i.e., maximization of the sum rate of a 2-user mmWave-NOMA system. In this problem, we need to find the beamforming vector to steer towards the two users simultaneously subject to an analog beamforming structure, while allocating ...
